Thanks very much for the help everyone, really appreciated. Sounds as if it may well have been original to the bike after all!

Mystery Front Wheel Hub
Morning All.
This hub was originally fitted to my 1934 Ariel Red Hunter 250 LH when I brought it, but was not right for the bike as it was laced incorrectly to the (correct) rim.
I have since found the right front hub but wondered if anyone knows what bike this one might have originally been ...

Re: Vinegar to clean rusted tanks?
I recently cleaned out my petrol tank (which had rust and the remains of an old tank liner in there) using Molasses which worked extremely well.
I was worried about damaging the chrome and paint work so used this method after reading an article by Allen Millyard. 2 parts molasses to 6 parts water ...

Re: Petrol tap: large bore with strainer (for hunters)
Thanks very much for all of your responses, I’ve tried the Pete Kemp and John but unfortunately no luck.
Thank you for your offer Adrie, I’ve sent you a PM.

Petrol tap: large bore with strainer (for hunters)
Hello
I'm trying to find an original Petrol tap: large bore with strainer (for hunters) part number 5050-32 suitable for my 1934 Ariel LH 250 cc red hunter.
Unfortunately, with all of the auto jumbles closed at the moment, I’m having trouble finding one. If anyone has one available or has any ...

Lodge spark plug
Hello
I’ve recently been given a number of NOS Lodge HN and 2 HN spark plugs, but am unsure of the difference between the two?
I wonder if anyone is able to advise me if either of these type plugs are suitable for my 1935 Ariel LH 250cc Red Hunter or even my 1959 BSA B31.
Many thanks for any ...

Re: Handlebar end caps
Thanks for the all of the info, it’s really helpful. As my LH is fitted with a twist grip it sounds as if it could have originally had closed end grips. Will probably be best to go down this route as it seems almost impossible to find appropriate bar ends.

Handlebar end caps
Hello
I wonder if someone might be able to help advise?
I am just in the process of finishing off some of the winter jobs on my 1935 Red Hunter LH 250cc.
It’s fitted with 1 inch handlebars with open ended grips, which I believe is correct for the year. Looking at pictures of other bikes of the ...

Re: Wanted: Lucas DU 142 8 inch headlamp
Thanks very much Paul, can I just ask; did you order it from these guys: http://www.vintage-replica.cz/205.E.htm
I think I might get one of those and then try to track down some original flat fluted glass as you suggest.
Your bikes look great by the way!
