Petrol tap: large bore with strainer (for hunters)

Post by ianstephens »

Hello

I'm trying to find an original Petrol tap: large bore with strainer (for hunters) part number 5050-32 suitable for my 1934 Ariel LH 250 cc red hunter.

Unfortunately, with all of the auto jumbles closed at the moment, I’m having trouble finding one. If anyone has one available or has any suggestions on where I might be able to find one I’d be very grateful.

Many thanks for your help.

Have you tried Hitchocks -the Enfield dealers, they stock a lot of Amal bits. - 01564 783 192

They come up on Ebay.
Better to buy original abx recork rather than inferior Indian repro.

I can agree with that 100%! Recorking (of a quality old tap) is so quick and easy that it's not worth risking buying some Indian repro.

Thanks very much for all of your responses, I’ve tried the Pete Kemp and John but unfortunately no luck.

Thank you for your offer Adrie, I’ve sent you a PM.

For info, the motojumble at Ardingley is on this weekend, Saturday and Sunday, and John Budgen is shown as going to be there on the website.
