Surely there must be a obscure bike like BSA/Triumph/Norton/AJS -M-/Brough/James/Excelsior ....that uses the same nut ? Huh?

Did you find a timing pinion nut ? I have a LH 9/16 -20 tap - I think that is the right size - if so, could make for you

From memory, the crankshaft timing nut on an A10 is 9/16 x 20 tpi LH.

Lee, I don't have any fancy steel to make this nut - will A4 stainless be OK ? it is a pretty tough material. Howard
