Re: Duff horn circuit

Thank you everyone. I do think grounding is a contributing factor and may actually be the only factor up for correction.

Anyone permanently solved the handlebar ground problem on a rubber mounted, girder fork machine?

To be clear, hot wire translates to live wire.

Duff horn circuit

Finishing cable hookups on a new, old school, single strand wire layup. No cloth.

Having a problem with the horn circuit, in part because I don’t understand how it should operate. Have done plenty of research and experimentation.

My biggest question is regarding a ground for the horn button. This ...

Re: Accessing Digital Cheval

OK, checking previous emails with the MS in early December, 2024, I was advised of the passwords and eventually was informed that Cheval could be found in the Club Library.

I obviously did not follow through at the time and go to the Library with the supplied passwords. Obviously distracted for ...

Re: Accessing Digital Cheval

Don’t recall how long I’ve been a digital only member, Simon. Could be a year or less. I used to pour over the magazine as soon as it arrived but out of sight, out of mind.

If someone has not had access to the passwords for a long time there is no continuity and therefore no access. Perhaps many ...

Re: Oil cleaner

Why would anyone run a SQ4 without a filter?
For authenticity? An ounce of prevention….

Obviously sludge is collected in a filter and changed at each oil change.

Probably wouldn’t work anyway. The F150 runs on SAE 5-20.
I withdraw the idea. :D

Re: Accessing Digital Cheval

Good explanation, Simon. Thank you for that.

I don’t regularly do lots of things, including digitally downloading Cheval. In fact I have never done it.

Why do we need these passwords in the first place? No problem logging onto the Forum with long standing passwords that don’t change unless we ...

Accessing Digital Cheval

Was told that the passwords to access Cheval online and the AOMCC archives is somewhere here. Where?! Not getting a Cheval hard copy (only digital) has made it difficult to update the access passwords.
