1930 Crankshaft Shock Absorber
Need a bit of guidance...
The picture shows the bits of my 1930 Model A crankshaft shock absorber, as they came off (not the scabby footrest!) - the big nut was being used as a spacer.
The spring and its 'retaining collar' are missing. Lee suggested using a Lambretta spring, which is on the way, but could someone help me with a picture of the assembly (or pictures of bits) to help me make the collar?

Hi Simon
I have a Lambretta shock absorber in bits on the bench at the moment if you need any dimensions.
Regards Mick

That's a lucky coincidence! Would you mind measuring the ID and length of the spring?
cheers

Re: 1930 Crankshaft Shock Absorber
Looks the same as on my '28
ESA spring sits behind the sprocket.
you mean the collar against the bearing?
I can make a pic from the collar, but perhaps Karol has one?

Re: 1930 Crankshaft Shock Absorber
Thank you Vincent. According to the parts book, 28 is different but I'm not sure how yet - I think the dynamo sprocket is just sandwiched in there.
A picture would be great.

Re: 1930 Crankshaft Shock Absorber
Lovely thanks Vincent. Presumably that's the bit that goes against the main bearing?
cheers
