Spark Plugs

Post by NealHooper »

Hello, I have a 500 VHA. What spark plug have people found best. It has an NGK in it at present, B6HS, not sure if that is right. Any recommendations.

A word to the wise - eB*y appears to be awash with counterfeit spark plugs, so whatever plugs you choose buy them from a reputable company.

I've always had good experience with the Green Spark Plug Company. You'll get genuine parts from them.

I've heard several people say that the Brisk plugs are more soot-tolerant than others.

See bottom of this page all the recomendations for Ariels https://draganfly.co.uk/product-categor ... ellaneous/ NGK plug code - 1st leter is diameter B=14mm, the number is the heat range, 2nd letter is length H=short reach, E=long reach, last letter S=super dooper wide range or something.

Some heat numbers work the opposite way to others. IF your engine is "hotted up" use a colder plug. I do not recommend using "R" plugs or suppressor leads with a magneto equipped engine. Nev
