Iv just got this ariel recently and when kicking over the clutch slipped now and then. So I decided to have a look
The more I look at this bike the more I realise its going to have some odd things with it
I dont have a lot of info from the guy I got it off. Except it was built for hill climb competitions many decades ago
The carb is rather big it came with a home made clutch side cover that looks mean and this clutch has all the bolts loose. I might need to go a lot deeper into this engine

Looks like a Burman/Ariel clutch with added lightening!

With standard springs, the tops of the springs should be level with the tops of the cups, or thereabouts. Yours might need tightening down somewhat - if it's slipping.

It is worth checking that the plain plates are flat
