hi, they was jetted diffent by the suppliers and they work well and start better

To close off this thread... To fit the Wassel I had to make a spacer to mover the carb back to clear the dynamo. You can buy these, but I was in a hurry, so made one from some 8mm plate. The cable ends were also different, but workable.
On close inspection of the original carb either I or someone previously had bowed the flange, so it was likely leaking air arms that point.
Bike started second or third kick, but.... just the same! Very slow opening of the throttle is required or it kills the engine. No way the bike is usable. So maybe it is not the carb. Maybe the magneto or condensor is failing.
Don't reply here, I'll start a new thread on that to make for easier future searches.
