sliding member bushes

Hi after advice on removing old bushes from sliding member from plunger suspension. I could probably press them out but what size drift? Any advice appreciated and any suggestions.

I cut them internally, easier to push out

Ian, I often use sockets as drifts for bushes, I don't know how easy that is for you to try (or if you've got a suitably varied selection of sockets....)

got them out with sockets and a vice. One question when pressing the new bushes in . Should the surfaces of the bushes and sliding member
s free from any grease/lubrication to help them in. Or should it be done dry. Thanks.

hi use a bit of WD 40 or similar on them and press them in or you can put them in using two big thick washers and some studying and draw them in

With bushes there and in Places like King Pins is would not matter. With crankpin tapers it's taboo. Just the oil on your skin is enough. You want it to lock and grip. Nev
