Leader rear brake pedal

After refitting the primary case I refitted the brake pedal and foot rest the pedal fowls the foot rest ,does the pedal go under the foot rest or over it, if I fit it over it restricts the pedal if I fit it under the pedal it holds the pedal out .
I am doing something stupid .

Hi the engine is sized solid it looks like it has been sitting in a puddle , I do have the bare bones of another engine but I would like to use the original .
The pistons were rusted to the cylinder I have destroyed them to remove the barrels , now I cannot split the crank or even move it as it has ...

I have shifted most of it with drain cleaner and the next thing is to deal with inside of the tank, I was thinking of epoxying it.

Thanks Ian will try thinners a friend has suggested brick cleaner but that might be a bit harsh.
