Leader rear brake pedal

Post by stephen.smith »

After refitting the primary case I refitted the brake pedal and foot rest the pedal fowls the foot rest ,does the pedal go under the foot rest or over it, if I fit it over it restricts the pedal if I fit it under the pedal it holds the pedal out .
I am doing something stupid .
Regards Steve.

The brake is outside the footrest as photo.

Most footrests have been bent and straightened many times over the 60 years but I can’t think why😵‍💫. So almost certainly not in correct alignment now.
Both the footrest and the brake pedal can be bent to make it work but it’s best to have a footrest position which allows removal of primary cover without having to remove the footrest and all the exhaust system first🤯

Have you got a viton tipped valve?
Also, make sure the brass ferrule is fitted on the float pivot rod
