Hi thanks to all - sorry for late reply as I only get on here once or twice a week - I will try to get better pics - Andy - not at the moment but will let you know if I'm going to use them or not on this project.

I have be told this is an early Ariel front end girder fork springer. Can anyone help identify ..sorry I can not find any makings or numbers on it ...sorry for the quality of the photos which I hope have attached ...The distance shown measured from center of bottom pin to center of wheel axial ...

1939 350 front end girder springer

I have a front end girder springer that I have been told is of a 1939 350 red hunter - has anyone got a drawing with dimensions or where I can find one -I have tried the workshop/owners manuals but length size dimensions are poor/to not there. I will post photo soon - Thanks

The thick flange 500 barrels could have about 3/8 off the bottom without significantly weakening them. The 350 cylinders are not very thick in the wall and the head bolts are not far out. so don't overbore much. Some 350 sleeved barrels are weakened by reducing the metal too much and fail.

Head ,Barrel,Piston,crankshaft,3 plate clutch,pushrods.

350 will not bore out to required size

Yes but only with a 1932-1934 shortstroke head and barrel.

Thinking out loud - - 350 RBH engine

Hi I have a 350cc RBH engine on the bench to rebuild. I was wondering if I could rebuild as a 500cc.
The bike in question was given to me in exchange for work I did. Pulled from a hedge in a very very sorry state.
