Hi all, finally got the bike back home yesterday. After an hour or so fiddling, she burst into life, and sounds as a 4G should. The oil circulates fine, through a spin-on filter[Draganfly extra], and the dynamo charges plenty; still on 6 volts though. All the electrics work except the headlamp, so that should be an easy fix, I hope! I now have the original buff log book and a V5C, proving the original reg. number on the bike. She was first registered to Kings Motors[Oxford]Ltd in Feb1958, in Luton, Beds. The late owner is only the 3rd owner, and it appears that he bought it with a chair on in 1962. I have checked with Paul J. and the engine matches the frame. Then I will have another fettling session to get an MOT on it. I will emphasise again that although everything seems to have been done as necessary, to produce as near to an as new bike as possible, I have not seen inside the motor, so it is rather a recommissioning exercise. I do know that all 4 sludge plugs have been renewed, so I would assume that the oilways have been cleaned out properly. I have found out that the timing chain and dynamo sprocket have been renewed. However, as the speedo is only showing just over 32k, maybe there was not much to do, assuming the reading to be exact, and the bike was looked after. All 4 compressions feel nice and solid on the kicker anyway. The tank finish is excellent, with all the black bits powder coated[to my mind this does not look anything like a nice enamel job but is durable], there are new tyres, brake linings and a fabric-covered wiring loom. In addition to the possible chair sprocket, you may find sidecar springs fore and aft as well, but this is a bit further down the trail. Any inspection welcome but give me plenty of notice please, and ask any questions you like. £11750 or near offer. Oh yes, the reg.no. is non transferable.

Nicely prepared bike and I cannot see the oil filter, nice touch. I installed my filter between engine and gearbox on the underside of frame. Can you please tell me the paint code or colour on tank, my bike tin ware has been painted in the same colour and needs renovating. The colour looks good Kind Regards Keith
