This looks a serious bit of kit for an arrow, does anybody know anything about it? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ariel-Arrow- ... SwMo9a5agG

Maybe this crankcase was fitted with alloy barrels at one time. These have bigger transfer ports. Looks like fitting reed valve kit increases crankcase volume quite a bit, so it could be to reduce crankcase volume.
I fancy a feed valve conversion for mine, it does give you far more flexibility with inlet porting, but just what the overall power gains are, I don’t know.

Should make it more tractable at the lower end. We can't go this route as it would make it ineligable for the class we are in, post 1958. Suzukis have big transfer ports to go with the reeds so I am a bit flumoxed by this one. Roger (Jess) will no doubt chip in as I think he has a set of r/v cases.
