Could anybody tell me if there are any steel washers under the 5 sleeve cylinder head nuts on the late 1950's VH alloy heads please.?

Cheers Tony :?

The surfaces where the nuts sit where a bit dimpled through over tightening on mine.
I had these skimmed and bronze washers made .

I don't know what is original, but I would consider it bad engineering practice not to use washers. Aluminium is a soft material.

If the studs are long enough use washers every time.
