Post by nils-mag »

Hello
Anybody that knows where too buy a complete rear wheel 19 "
With complete i mean just too mount it,with rim, spokes, hub, tires.
Hope someone has some dealers too reccomend.

Ehhhh, Nils, you have to be a bit more specific.
As a starter : what year is the bike it needs to go on ?
After that, it will most likely be a case of finding the right hub and rim and get it laced up to fit your bike.
If youre lucky perhaps you find a complete wheel just for the year your bike is.
But probably this needs a new tyre, tyres are easy to find -and sometimes much cheaper- via internet dealers.
You will have to fit it yourself though.

Thanks for the answer Vincent

I know about this, but i was interessed in finding a dealer that could build me a new wheel.By the way,the bike is a Red Hunter,singel,350,1946 modell with 19 " rims.
Sorry, but i could have done a better job whwn i was posting it.

Things to look for in the hub are brake surface oversize, and threads stripped ( the ones that retain the sprocket).By the time you have built up a good rear wheel it may cost a fair bit. I have one hub which was running out a lot in the brake casting. It has obviously been that way from new. It looks so bad I am not using it myself.. Nev
