Chaps
I have used EP90 - about 250cc - to top up the 52 GB Burman box. Am I in deep do doo? Cannot seem to find a definitive repsonse as to what is acceptable/unacceptable.
Obrigado

Hi Mark
I personally would not use any extreme Pressure (EP) lubricants in Burman or any old gearbox with internal bronze bearings in as the EP additive will actually attack the bronze bushings over time.
EP lubricants are really designed for gearboxes with roller or needle bearings in.
Morris Lubricants do a straight 90 which I use in all my gearboxes and have covered several thousands of miles with no problems.

Additionally, some early Burman gearboxes use a grease and oil mix (50/50 if i remember rightly with a LOW melting point grease). The grease was primarily to keep the lubricant in the box as the seals were either non existent or very poor.
