Mongrel clutch on Sq4?

Post by Larsen_N »

Does this look like a mix of parts on my '54 Square 4?
Should the clutch centre not have the lip, as it's got the friction material on the basket?
If so, is it ok just to machine the lip off?

Sorry if this is a daft question, I'm new to Ariel ownership.
Thanks, Neil

Correct, that is a 1957 on clutch basket with the earlier centre.

Thanks, Simon. I suspected as much.
Presumably ok to machine the lip off the centre?
