VH500,
Looking at the primary chain side, the engine rotates anticlockwise, correct? The front primary chain sprocket spins anticlockwise, yes?
Away from the bike at the minute, so can't look for myself, but just thinking about things...

It's 2 engines sharing the same doghouse and connected together under Protest by cogs. When it works, it's exceedingly smooth. There's NOTHING quite Like it BUT As it ages it becomes a challenge No Person should be forced to face but who expected these things to be still going 75 to 90 years later.
