Rec squish when running Suzuki pistons

Post by PeterFC »

Hi folks, been running Suzuki pistons for many years with no issues and as currently stripping engine to do crank seals took opportunity to measure the piston to head squish. My measurements at piston edge are 2.5 and 2.1 mm. Guidance gleaned from Gemini AI is that optimum squish is 1.1 to 1.3 mm with a max of 1.5mm. However being well aware of Gemini,s propensity to “ hallucinate “ would appreciate guidance from real people out there on what works for a bike with fair standard porting where reliability is more important than power
