Do we know anything about the bike or the owner? (Was it maybe Claude Yvel's own bike?)

I don't think it's a footboard but more likely a guard for the timing case to
complement the sump bashplate.
I did wonder if it had pulled a sidecar at some point because of the cross-over
exhaust system.
The bike looks to be well sorted and the painting is almost photographic in its
detail - both very nice.
