Access to Arrow coils

Hi, I'm new to Ariel Arrows, despite riding and owning bikes for the neck end of 60 years. I'm about to fit electronic ignition and convert to 12v which will mean accessing the coils. These appear to be virtually inaccessible, tucked as they are in the monocoque frame work. Can anyone advise on options to achieve this without the skills of a keyhole surgeon? As I don't use the luggage compartment for much, I was also thinking of re positioningthe coils inside said luggage compartment. All advice most gratefully received . My bike is a 61 Arrow. Thank you. David

You will need the skills of the aforementioned surgeon, there isn't an alternative means of access.

Taking the dummy tank off - in itself a non-trivial task - make the access slightly less
restricted. Getting the original large coils out can be a struggle too so the smaller the
better from that point of view although some ingenuity will be needed to fix them - or
it - securely.

Couple of previous discussions on the subject:

Not sure they'll be massively helpful but it's occasionally comforting to know you are not alone...
