distributor drive gear housing

Hi by drive gear housing I mean the bit that the distributor and dynamow fit into. do othe engines use the same part as my 1954 square 4 mk2 uses. Is there abetter description or any part numbers? Any advice appreciated

Bennet of Iron Horse spares aka SQ4 club spares has had some made for his alternator conversions. There is a number for it but I can't think of it

Assuming that you have loosened the clamp, and removed the screw, beneath the clamp; if it's there - not fitted to later models.
I would suggest clamping the alloy casting, lightly in a vice, with rag.
Heat it with a hot air gun, and twist the distributor body with a strap wrench, until it frees off.
