Scam alert - kaitebright5/Winton Miller
One of our members has been advised by kaitebright5 to contact Winton Miller for parts being sought.
This is a scam and has been used on several other internet forums.
See (for example):
https://www.advrider.com/f/threads/part ... g.1807695/
I can see that possibly as many as 25 Forum users have been messaged (PM) by kaitebright5 almost all along the lines of:
Hey,
If you're looking for a 1934 red hunter outer chain cover, I highly recommend reaching out to Winton on
"winton_miller@outlook.com". They specialize in this and have helped many people find exactly what they need. Great quality, fair prices, and really easy to work with.
(Other messages reference other parts that people are obviously looking for.)
Hopefully no-one has lost out because of this scam. I've deactivated the account in question but if anyone gets any similar messages please report them.

Re: Scam alert - kaitebright5/Winton Miller
thank you , that's' what good about being a club member someone always got your back
Re: Scam alert - kaitebright5/Winton Miller
It wasn't me that spotted it, so I can't take any credit for that. However one Forum member did follow up on the contact PM but fortunately got suspicious, found the evidence on other forums and contacted me.
It's necessary to be a bit careful about making judgements but I'm always happy to look into anything that seems dodgy.
