NH/VH oversize cam shaft bush

Post by Vesa Helske »

Hi all!
Does anybody have acquired/made an oversize outer bush for NH/VH cam shaft? I would need the O.D. at least 25,7mm, so as to be able to broach the elongated bore in the timing case. Standard dimensions for said bush are 19,05mm (3/4in) x 25,4mm (1in) x 18mm (0.7 in).
Also, information of a supplier or fabricator of such hardware would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Vesa

The ovalised hole in the cover has to be trued up and machined in line with the one in the crankcase and a suitably oversized OD bush made and any oil hole drilled. Originally the CASES and cover are matched items. The bush in the crankcase must not be loose in the case as it could then move inwards and contact the flywheels With very strong valve springs it's particularly Important to check all this carefully. USE GOOD bronze for the Bushes Nev
