I spotted this on Gumtree. Would those the Indian-made girder forks?

Hello Richard,
This NG is -almost- exactly as mine.
It also has those tiny details which make it correct for the first postwar production.
The WD toolboxknob and 6" headlight .
The 'prewar' paneltank having Ariel transfers instead of badges with screws.
Therefore I think that the front forks are the original fitment.
Price is almost what you would spend on a restoration sans the bike itself.

My november 1945 NG

Lovely bike!

it is basically a WD frame sans the field stand but with the benefit of the 'high ground clearance' frame
