VB exhaust pipe

I have an exhaust pipe which is supposedly for a VB but it was not identified as being for or a swinging arm frame or for a plunger. The exhaust is only clamped at the head and at the silencer as it has no bracket to the front engine mount. As it fouls the kickstart on my swinging arm frame I suspect that it is from a plunger frame. Does that sound correct?

Haven't double-checked his but don't all the swing-arm singles pipes have the upsweep to take them over the centre stand? (Remembering some exhaust fun after putting an iron-head VH from a rigid bike into a swing-arm frame.)

So if the back section of the pipe is straight it's from a rigid or plunger and if it's 'kinked up' it's for a swing-arm?

Sounds like a rigid or plunger pipe.
Have you the correct kickstart, cranked out to clear the silencer.

The pipe does have the unsweetened to miss the main stand so may be it is the kick start which while it has an offset does not appear to be as much as that in Drags photo.

All the s/arm pipes have a welded on bracket near the front and a joggle to raise them towards the rear. Plunger and rigid models used a loose 'P' clamp to the frame and the bottom run is level. Clearances can be tight and silencer brackets can be bent, nothing unusual in having to push or pull the assembly to get it to line up.

definitely not a s/arm VB pipe, that kink at the rear is too much
