Theres a lot of work to do for the monumental asking price...

i have bought a bike of dutch lion ,mr patrick vullings,be very carefull.i asked him specific questions to which he replied incorrectly(dishonestly?)to some of these.

Like all dealers (?) there surely is a big gap between 'asking' and 'getting' the money for a bike.
His list of bikes grows longer every week, so sales are not brisk.

Some pictures of Ariels are not from him or at his premises.
For example, the pictures of the fifties VB come from this other 'high end price' dealer in Austria .
To me, the use of someone elses pictures already gives me a clue to the real interest the dealer has in his merchandise.
If one cannot bring himself to invest in displaying the bikes properly -at these prices!- you know why he's in there for,...the money, your money.

Actually he 'reacts' in the same way as his Austrian counterpart, when you ask a question about the origin or originality of a bike or part you eiher get no answer, a incomplete answer or a evasive answer that gives you no clue at all.
So be persistent in asking about frame/engine numbers, with these asking prices you cannot have the benefit of doubt approach.
Again, If you wanne deal, look good at all pictures (also, look good at backgrounds, they sometimes give away some clues and make 'mental' notices of the whole picture) or ask others their opinion -among us- you maybe overlook something obvious.
It is, after all, Your Money !

His price level reflects what he thinks the bike's value will be AFTER you did the restoration, so on top of the real value of the project bike he wants up front a share of the value after YOU did the restoration !

A company that looks very trustworthy to me is Yesterdays in Holland, I have had no dealings with them (yet) and although the prices are in the higher regions the are very knowlegdeable and straightforward .

In all, be carefull with some of these guys, the Patrick's in Holland, the Mark's in Austria and this one in Belgium (forgot his name)
