Re: New club Facebook page
Sorry, I don't do facebook and I never will.
Facebook is for 'me me me' stuff, real things that might have (or need to have) some longer value shouldn't be anywhere near it.
(IMHO)

Hi
Won't that affect the effectiveness of the forum as a repository of advice?
I'm with Simon - I refuse to use any of the social media apps
Regards Mick

Facebook is great for instant stuff, like run/rally pics, but nowhere near as easy to search for the more technical information ( well done Lee though !)

Re: New club Facebook page
Well I was ask to do so I did! Facebook has its drawbacks granted. But also has its uses too! Its instantly available to members and non members. It's very easy to use and keeps you updated. It's another way to get people interested in our bikes and bring new blood to the club. The younger generation use Facebook we need young blood for the future of the club. I'm classed as a younger member but at the age of 42 I'm not that young. There are young people out there let's get them to join the A. O. M. C. C.

Yes! We are not going to get new members to club if we exclude non members to Join the group.
The group is primarily for members but to exclude non members will not help to gain new ones.

The group didn't belong to me I only set it up. Less than 24 hours ago. How it will go on and if it will stay open is something to be talked about.

I agree with Simon whole heartedly. I`ve never seen the need for Facebook.Simon.Gardiner wrote:Sorry, I don't do facebook and I never will.

Re: New club Facebook page
We certainly need a connection to it as it’s where a lot of Ariel riders congregate, but we have to be careful that it doesn’t cancel out the need to join the club . I’m in a couple of one-make or specialist Facebook groups due to there not being a suitable owners forum for them, but this Ariel forum is perfect as far as I’m concerned.
