Further to the head/valve/rocker issues i have decided to prepare a 34’ (i believe) cylinder head i have to fit in case the one I have now installed can’t be fixed properly. The problem is that I don’t know how the head bolts look like. I found the P/N and some dims of the bolts from the 34’ spare list but it would help a lot of i see some pics. Also the spare list gives 2 different P/N and lengths for the N/S bolts.
Anyone has experience with those?

The 0724 bolt is for the '33 head and the 170-34 bolt is for the '34 head (with the smaller 14mm spark plug)
The problem is going to be how to mount your rocker box - the '33 box was part tinware whilst the '34 box was all cast.
The '35,'36 and '37 heads all lower the "stands"(?) for the head bolts and allow the near side bolts to take a bolt to hold the rocker box side plate; 800 34 - which you have and will work on your '34 head ('35 was different and experimented with a double oil feed to both valves rather than just inlet)
In theory it should all fall together if you got some bolts made up to those lengths as the 800 34 worked for all four years and the off side, turned 170-35 bolts take the bolt head up to the same height as the raised 'stand' on your head anyways?
The bolts would have been chemically blackened.

So after a few rejections from some machine shops to fix my cylinder head, i found a local guy who installed steel valve seats at 0.006” interference fit. He did machine slightly one valve guide though to get his tool there..
Let’s see if it works and for how long.

Looks to Have 1 Bronze Guide? Why is that? I presume the Inlet is to the Left in the Picture. Looks OK to me. Nev

Hi Nev, it is not bronze it’s just shiny due to the photo angle and the other one also new but machined a bit on the end (looks like broken off).
