Here are two more photos; I can't do more without dismantling the pieces. I've also attached a rough diagram.

When I made my conversion I decided to do away with the distributer, which meant that I did not have to modify the crankcase. I extended the shaft to the left of the alternator and mounted a Boyer ignition unit that would fail after a few hundred miles, since replaced with a Wassels unit. Bloody awkward to fit, but the standard dynamo isn't easy without stripping the whole bike. I have 4 drawings including a plate for mounting the ignition system. There is an adapter - alternator to engine, a new back and front plate and ignition housing. Available as DXF, SKF or .doc files if anyone is interested. Bennett's version retains the distributer so involves less palaver.
