on Ebay : WNG 1943 500cc

Post by Vincent.vanGinneke »

On Ebay, -no connection- https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/185232838995 ... SwaRRhyjgd

Very polished up WNG (to blind the Jerry's ?) with a VH engine, (to get away quickly when the shelling started)
Hmmmm,. where have I seen such a contraption before ??
Seller writes that this is a investment....in his wallet I suppose ! :D
CP WD Burman, later rocker boxes and the timing cover comes from a late fifties VH, no lower chainguard, no WD upper toolbox.
A lot of work went in it but if that justifies the asking price...it's still a bitsa.

Here we have an ARIEL 1943 Originaly a WW2 despatch riders bike !! The bike as you can see have been totally rebuilt to the highest standards ..
This stunning bike is one of a kind , its engine is so powerful being the 500 cc and runs so smooth . The paint work is absolutely stunning its a true show winner every time . It holds all its original parts and the work thats been done to this machine is unprecedented even the tank was oped to reveal any problems but was all good , reworked welded and sealed again . The rigid frame is absolutely straight as is for the girder front end . Gear box is smooth and slick .. This bike is take out the garage and ride . The bike also has an age related plate .. Pointless having money in the bank this is an investment ..Must be seen !!!! any questions please ask .....

Pity there are not any regulations covering private advertisers!

What is happening here?

Photo 7, close up of the speedo.

Is the screw holding the spring just about to disappear on the first ride out?

difficult to see,
it should have a grooved thick washer and the split pin gets wrapped in that groove.
something is amiss as I dont see the squared off spindle end.
it also failes the washer that should be next to the flat nut and spring eye.

totally rebuilt to the highest standards
