We use gallons of WD40 for the sewing machines at work,

This reminds me of a funny story,
Years ago I had to do offshore training to be able to go on an oil rigg.
In the classroom our tutor said if we just get on with things we could get our days training over by midday. But we had a big wig from BP who jusf kept on thinking he knew more then our tutor, he continuously questioned and contradicted him about everything he said, any hope of going home early was fast ebbing away.
One item we had to cover was "Manufacturers Safety Data Sheets" so our tutor used WD40 as an example. So up pipes our BP "expert" explaining that he knows what that stands for. War Department 1940 ......... by now we've all enough of him, I bravely stood up and said your Wrong., very Wrong. Its Water Displacement and it was their 40th recipe... A few of the other guys at the back of the classroom started shouting Fight Fight :D :D Anyway tutor stuck up the answer on his large computor screen for everyone to see, I was right.
After that not a peep out of him and we were away home just after lunch. A guy walking walking back to his car with me said I'd found another use for WD 40, Shuts up pricks :D :D :D

Enjoy
Thanks Paul,

Had another short ride at the weekend, stopped for a bit only to find the carburetor slide stuck up.
My alloy head doesn't leave much space for the carb so I have to remove my air filter to get it off.
It was well gummed up.

If you're giving the slide a brass sleeve it won't happen again.

Perhaps nothing to do with it but what do you lubricate the throttle and
choke cables with?
