Apparently, the current world record price for a bike is 286,000 UK pounds (also for a Brough).
Can anyone top this?

Broughs would have to be one of the most collectable bikes about, because amongst other things they were never mass produced. Even the "funny" models are valuable because of the name. Some other brands might have a "better" model as the brough was made from a lot of "bought in" parts even though some of them were specified higher performance/quality than the standard component. This bike has all the documentation and history. The AGS is a great bike and is quite light in weight, for it's capacity. IF you've got the money!!! There's a supercharged AJS V twin in England that used to belong to a mate of mine here in Aus It might be worth a few Quid,( unless it got burnt) and maybe an American Cyclone OHC or a good early Militaire might be close to the same league...Nev

Hmmmm, I like those alloy finned exhaust muffs on these Brough Superiors.
Had a look around on that website and saw a set of 'HS' cam + followers for 500,- Euro.......actually they are standard post '51.
That puts some perspective on this BS price !
