Johnny, I don’t think a Triumph 1300 had a distributor boot fitted as standard did it?

HI no it did not but you can get one for it like my friend did to stop the water making the car misfire in the wet, it had one wen he got the car nearly 40 years ago but that had its day so he found a new one at the show last year, and i think some old VW use a plastic type one with press studs if you go to a good autojumble you will find one but, i think you will have to wait till next year now to go to one, i think it was a lucas part

The item you want is part no. 5239-49. Readily available from Draganfly at £41.90 plus postage. Geoff Hunter (who makes them) will have them. Bruce Longman (Square Four spares) may also have them.

I wonder why there is such a price differential between the sock for the Square four and the one for the Triumph 5TA. The latter can be bought online for £12. I assume it’s all to do with the scale of production.

@Ken, that’s a nice product and as a bonus includes a cover for the ignition coil.

Bought one of these in the end . The Triumph one is very small and being for a twin it didn't look easy to get the four leads through.
