Thank you for your answers.
The pictures and explanations from David are very helpful, he also talks about the difficulties involved in this conversion, such as the lubrication of the needle roller bearing and the difficulties with drilling.

Hello David,
Thank you for posting. It seems like I might have to try to fit those discs again next time I have the primary apart on my NG. With a bit of digging I found the drawing supplied by Henrik Schackinger Larsen, a friend of the originator of the mod Niels Probst, and with it some notes as to why I figured the discs would not fit. Anybody else out there have problems fitting the discs to a single?
