I have search the internet to try to found a simmular bike to gather information and to get a clue to wath the bike is worth so that he can get the right price for it. The document says thath it is a Ariel VCH Hunter Competition 500cc from 1953. When a have search for it i cant find the exact same bike. Is it original or has some previous owner changed it?
Thankfull for all help i can get. Se attached pictures.

Re: Need help
This will not be an easy thing, all depending where you live.
I think it's a 1953 VCH with a home made rear springing, it has an methanol carb so if the piston is 14 to 1 than take it out and throw it away.
First we need the numbers, ET-1293 is not the frame nr.
To start the bidding i will offer 5000 euro and will collect.
This was it before the hecksaw.

The framenumber normally is just above or near to the cap on the oil tank.

Re: Need help
They made the oiltank higher and to the rear to clear the carb so they welded a support on the number.Knud.Degnbol wrote:The framenumber normally is just above or near to the cap on the oil tank.

Re: Need help
I can see, what you mean. But with a little bit of luck you could be able to see it, by removing the oiltank. Otherwise we just have the engine number to go by.adrie.degraaff wrote:They made the oiltank higher and to the rear to clear the carb so they welded a support on the number.Knud.Degnbol wrote:The framenumber normally is just above or near to the cap on the oil tank.
