continental petrol tank identification
i bought this petrol tank off ebay as i liked the size and look of it and thought it would go on a trials /scrambles bike and wondered if anybody can identify it ?
it came from a deceased clear out in holland allegedly . it has a lovely curved step pressed into the sides of it ,male tap connector on the right hand side, 2" round badges, black with pale blue flash and white stripe on the pressed line and gold coach lines .the filler cap hole is quite small and the inside is not rusty indicating a smallish 2 stroke, the fixing bolt holes are also quite small ,to get the filler cap at the top of the tank the tank has to slope down at the rear a bit, tank is very heavy resistance welded with gas welded brackets any ideas please ?? philip
p/s working out how to attach photos?

It's a 49cc Batavus Bilonet carrier or moped, http://bakbrommers.nl/pages/informatie/ ... atavus.php.

Gotta have one. Not sure I could handle the big cubes engine power, though. Nev

Yes there are still Batavus Bilonet mopeds to be found and the carriers are mainly in Amsterdam, https://www.marktplaats.nl/a/fietsen-en ... ousPage=lr
But if in your place, i would throw the tank in the bin.
