. I'll be on my 1929 Model F.The times I've taken part are:
1985 : BSA 1000cc V-twin 1926
1986 : BSA 1000cc V-twin 1926
1987 : BSA 1000cc V-twin 1926
1988 : Ariel Model B 1930
1989 : Ariel Model B 1930
So a 22 year gap
. At the 1985 event, I bought a second hand copy of "Motor Cycling in the 1930s" and Bob Currie kindly signed it...RIP Bob; still have the book.On the 1988 or 1989 event, I didn't get further than the bike park
. I'd ridden up the day before from Sussex and a friend (on a BSA Sloper) and I stayed at a farm house B&B. Got up, nice breakfast, rode into Drayton School no problem. My time to approach the start, three at a time in those days, so started up the bike and the primary chain came off 
. Turns out the cush drive nuts on the crankshaft had slowly worked loose on the drive up the day before and allowed the engine sprocket to come out far enough to allow the chain to ride up over the clutch. I've learnt a few things in the last 22 years 
.Good place to break down though. Bought a new chain + loctite from the autojumble and spent the rest of the morning fixing it before riding back to Sussex in the afternoon. My friend hadn't even notice I missed the run
