Just spotted a 1955 Huntmaster for sale with correct "LF xxxx" engine number and HCS lettering below the engine number. The bike has been exported to South America as new and has "Western style" high handlebars & half width front brake drum and swinging arm rear.
I know the HCS is for high compression sports, but cannot find any further info of this type engine. Does the HCS engine have more horse power / torque? How common/rare were these HCS engines overall? Seller says frame number being = engine number. Could it be?
Cheers,
Seppo
