Valve spring lenth Square 4 mark 2

Hi All.
Is there any difference in valve spring length on the Mark 2 compared to Mark 1.

The new springs measure ,Outer 44.5 x 29 mm , inner 39 x 19 mm, that I have brought.

The old springs measure on average ,Outer 40.4 x 28.7 inner 36.7 x 19.7.

The easiest way to clean the rocker spindles was explained by a member using a strand of brake cable , thank you.

When blowing out spindles there were small bubbles coming out of the alloy plug at end of spindles , I think they may be pressed in , not game to drill them out.

From the table below you can see that there are 2 different mk1 valve spring sets and 2 different mk2 valve spring sets. The VS455 being used on 1950-53 mk1 and on 53-54 mk2. The VS518 set used on the later mk2 uses different top collars and the spring set is designed to use a steel umbrella type valve guide seal.
