They are all brand new so the year is 1931, the flag is a tricolor, a lot of bicycles and they have Dutch faces.
What are they celebrating in 1931? Queensday? that would make it August 31.

Re: Periiod OHC Photo
Looks to be a procession, in the background a few man hold/carry something that reminds me of statue of Maria or it's perhaps a local Saint.
or maybe a Queen ? Maybe someone reconizes the green stuff carried on the front of the bikes.
If known it could be possible to search for a festival around that particular shrubbery .
Nice picture ! thanks for posting

They used to make strings of oranges to match the name of the Queen and that's what seems to be in the background..

The forage caps seem to be more like Yugoslavian uniforms of the 30's. Their flag at that time was also a tricolour.http://l7.alamy.com/zooms/4cb580745e254 ... cpmtbp.jpg
1935 cammy Square, 1938 VB, brace of 1950 MkI Squares, 1959 MkII Square and several Ariel and Fleet pushbikes.

Re: Periiod OHC Photo
I asked the fellow who supplied the photo if he knew anything about it. Nothing, the photo was a post card, no writing.
