hi, guys i am a newbie to the club after many years of wanting a square four i finally have been able to get one
although it does need a bit of work
i know doubt will be asking load of questions
and posted is the bike i have just bought ,one of them is as the guy i bought it off 18 years ago , and the other is where the bike is at the moment

hi, guys they bike has its original buff log book and was last taxed in 1969 and i got the tax disc with it the frame and engine numbers seem correct and the original engine which is not in the bike has had a full rebuild in 1997 with all the bills and paperwork to back this up.i have been doing some detective work and the earles front end is off a douglas dragonfly but as for the 4 leading link front end i dont know???

Just been looking at the old front end and instead of a clutch leave it had a push button ???? i think the guy that owned it was a bit of a tinker

I love the first 4 exhaust SQ4 but any is always beter then none. I have none and you can start dreaming in put it in the road again. Lovely bike.

Came across the original advert and photo's for your Square4.....very interesting in its original 'kneeler' sidecar guise...advert says it had an eight leading shoe front brake!!!!. What a great buy.
Here is the link to the photo's if anyone is interested.....they show it had a tax disc holder on the left side of the fork legs...so was this a road bike/combination at some time in its life? now that would have been something unusual to see running about on the road

i will post some pics of the drum but alas it is not 8 leader what it does do is actuate both sides of the shoe at the same time but it should of worked ok.
so its going on ebay as i have no use for it
