AMAL 6/024

Post by ismohautala »

Hello

Carburetter question this time.
My Ariel 1929 F-model have this AMAL carburetter but I wonder what is the correct mixing chamber
for it.
I have two chambers , the small one was fitted when I got this bike but I'm not so sure about it.
I got this bigger chamber later and it fits nicely too.

Hi I think that the big one is the one to be fitted ,but I think although one is larger ,the petrol level will be the same, anyway you could try that out and if it runs well with the bigger one it's ok,it's not impossibel that the smaller one is from an amac carburettor......chris

The small one would be leaking more quickly.
