Post by Delharding »

Hi all you boffins, does anyone know the correct paint colour spec' for the early 1930s Red Hunter fuel tanks? If not the nearest available colour from the car world. Thanks in anticipation, Derek.

I can't help you specifically but as an owner of Ariels since 1956,and having admired many. The RED on the earlier Ariel tanks and wheel centres is a magnificent colour and well worth trying to get right . Nev

Hi,
I believe Post Office Red Cherry is the colour which changed in 1951 (this is a modern colour definition; I can get you the RAL number if you like).

The '30's red is more a dark blood red than the bright '40's colour.
Hi Derek, sorry, I don't have a colour number or shade. If you get really stuck, let me know.
