1933 Front stand

Post by Roger Gwynn »

I have started work on my 1933 VF that has had many later parts fitted including mudguards although the stays seem to be the original, albeit modified in places. The front stand is listed as being unique to this year in the parts book (4730-33 D10/65), reverting to the standard one (4730-28 D9/97) for the following year. Does anyone know what the difference is, the one on my bike looks like an Ariel one but is made from bar, rather then tube?
