For fun, a few lesser known prewar 4 cylinder engines.

Looks like a chain driven OHC with a oil cooler up front.

In the first "THE MOTORCYCLE" magasin where these monstrosities of wich they think had to much horspower (16 HP).
Was this the first V4 motorcycle ever made?

Brough, seen at Montlhery in 2022, prototype with MAG engine, never made it into production. After teething troubles with the crankcase, this one has a wooden crankcase. No, you didn't misread that!

Should be doable nowadays to get a crankcase cast.
Brough owners usually have the pecunia :D
