Lucas 12V AC Generator - E3LM Replacement

Post by Vincent.vanGinneke »

Seen this on Feked (Fake it ? ) no sorry just kidding!

A permanent magnets generator.
Anyone using it?
how does it perform?
I think this is like the Alton.
Early Altons were no good with 3 rather strong magnets that ruined the fiber magneto wheel in short time.
Now Altons have 10 small magnets, much less pounding on the fiber wheel but not like a dynamo that gives a more equal rise in the force applied on the fiber wheel.

I have one to test on my bike when I have re-built it.

Feked are an OK supplier.

I have used them for a long time for parts for my Ariel and other bikes.

They have a dedicated area for trials parts (I thnk they acquired the Sammy Miller trials parts business).

This is a standard Wassels part and available elsewhere including your local Ariel specialist!
