The garter oil seal conversion will not fit earlier boxes because the recess is not deep enough. I know people that have machined a Draganfly seal carrier down to almost nothing to make it fit successfully but there is not much left.

I guess I have an early box, which means I must try to find the early parts… I also do not have the intention to fill the box with oil alone but a mix of grease and oil.

I skimmed the rubber from the inside face of seal 67-3067 which is for BSA gearbox and it fits well on my early BA.

Looking good as an alternative for a BA box. However a CP makes use of different/smaller internal diameter.
