2025 Australian Ariel Rally
the 2025 AAR rally was held last weekend in Evans Head on the NSW far north coast. There were around 75 bikes in attendance. The weather on friday was wet, but the saturday and sunday rides were mostly fine. The event was very well organised and run and enjoyed by all who attended. Here are a few photos

Somehow, it seems perfectly reasonable for Australian pictures to be that way up - to us in the Northern Hemisphere

Bob, reduce picture size to 500mB or so.
Ralf
(Admin edit - the originals are all under 400k in size! I don't think this is anything to do with the image size, I think it's which way up the camera/phone is being held, although in that case I'd have thought both the original image and the thumbnail would have the same orientation.)

Sorry for doing confusion. Was pretty sure. Probably it's also the browser one uses.

Re: 2025 Australian Ariel Rally
With regards to 'upside down' jpegs the specification for jpegs is a mess and most
cameras produce some variation or other of what the manufacturer believes the
spec really means. Bottom line, some jpegs don't know which way is up and
when the thumbnailing happens the thumbnail is a new jpeg made to a different
interpretation of the spec . . .
. . . so there isn't much you can do about it.
Thinking about it, editing the jpeg with different software might change it enough
to work but be wary of editing jpegs as they are 'lossy' and each edit degrades
the image somewhat.
